Smoothies of all colors – Part 2

We are now more than a third way through our 40 day smoothie challenge and the smoothies we are making are all really delicious, and colorful too. No more just green smoothies! We are slowly learning about new fruit-vegetable-superfood combinations and their positive effects on our bodies.

Just yesterday I filled up my superfood pantry with some amazing superfoods from Presnica – maca powder, dried duds, dried inkberries, vanilla powder, Brazilian nuts and aronia juice. Can’t wait to try them all! Yum!

The recipes in the past 8 days were the following:

7. Blueberry Smoothie with Radicchio

1 cup water

1 cup red radicchio

1 tsp psyllium husk

1 banana

1 small sweet apple

50 ml frozen blueberries

8. Energy Smoothie

1 cup water

1 cup Lollo Rosso salad

1 small beetroot

1 large banana

10 frozen strawberries

1 slice ginger

10 goji berries

9. Swiss Chard Greenie

juice of 1/2 red grapefruit

enough water to reach1 cup liquid together with the grapefruit juice

1 cup swiss chard leaves

1 tsp spirulina

2 bananas

10. Coriander Smoothie

1 cup water

1 cup spinach and coriander leaves

1 tsp spirulina

1/2 mango

1 banana

juice of 1/2 lemon

11. Chicory in a Smoothie (instead of in a coffee)

1 cup water

1 cup chicory leaves

1 heaped tsp chia seeds, soaked in 7 tsp water for an hour

1 apple 1 banana

1 handful raisins

juice of 1/2 lemon

12. Parsley Smoothie with Mango

1 cup parsley leaves

1 tsp spirulina

5 inkberries

1 vanilla persimmon (I used 1/2 mango instead)

13. Chicory with a Tropical Touch

1 cup chicory leaves

1/4 mango

1/6 pineapple

1 tangerine

1 banana

1 slice ginger

14. Super Energy Good Morning Smoothie

1 cup soft lettuce leaves

1 tsp powdered maca

1 tbsp dried mulberries

1 banana

1 handful frozen raspberries
